Update on Coronavirus Situation in Relation to Dental Practices in Scotland

We hope that you and your families are all safe and well.
NHS Care
The Scottish Government has limited the range of NHS treatments available and the current NHS service is focused on pain relief and urgent care for a small number of patients every day. Should you be experiencing pain or have a concern about your mouth please call the practice on 01236 421103 and you will be triaged by our team.
Unfortunately, we still have no indication from the Chief Dental Officer when we will be able to see you for your routine NHS check up and routine NHS care.
As time goes on, we have been contacted by many of our NHS patients who are keen to have their routine check ups and resume their dental treatment, and it is important to us as dental professionals that we are able to offer you the option to proceed with your dental care.
Private Care
At the end of June, we were given guidance to allow us to restart private dental care. The protocols for providing treatment have changed due to COVID 19 and the safety of our patients and our team is paramount. We have, therefore, invested in enhanced PPE and air filtration systems, and put in place strict operating procedures, to allow us to provide routine dental health checks and routine treatment to our Membership Plan patients, and any other patients who wished to have treatment carried out privately.
If you are worried about a tooth, and don’t wish it to worsen or are keen to resume your dental treatment privately, please contact our team on 01236 421103 and we will discuss options for private care with you.
We also offer an affordable Membership Plan. Joining the plan will mean you can have your routine check ups, scale and polish and treatment now. For those wishing to access treatment privately, membership of the plan offers a 10% discount on all our private treatment (excluding implant placement).

More now than ever, good oral hygiene and home care are vitally important. Please remember to brush your teeth twice a day, for 2 minutes, with a fluoride toothpaste, and limit sugary snacks.
