Keith is the Principal Dentist at Coatbridge Family Dental Care, leading the practice with a strong focus on patient care, teamwork and continuous improvement.

He originally came into dentistry after undertaking work experience and quickly realised it was the right fit. He was drawn to the technical precision of the profession, but even more so to the opportunity to help people and make a meaningful difference to their confidence and quality of life.

Keith has a particular interest in dental implants and holds the Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He provides implant treatment for patients who are missing teeth and is experienced in planning and restoring more complex cases. He also enjoys cosmetic and advanced restorative dentistry, especially cases that require careful planning and creative thinking.

Since taking over the practice in 2009, Keith has helped guide its growth and development. Alongside providing clinical care, his role includes mentoring and supporting the wider team, shaping the direction of the practice and ensuring standards remain high across everything we do. While much of his clinical time is dedicated to implants, cosmetic and more advanced cases, he still enjoys the variety each day brings – from hands-on treatment to detailed discussions with patients about their options.

One of the most rewarding parts of Keith’s work is seeing the transformation in a patient’s confidence. He believes the key to helping patients feel at ease is simple: listening. By understanding concerns properly, he can provide clear, practical solutions, often in situations where patients thought nothing could be done.

He is passionate about the team at Coatbridge Family Dental Care and describes them as friendly, understanding and caring. For Keith, the practice’s strength lies in genuinely listening to patients and delivering solutions tailored to the individual.

Outside of the practice, Keith enjoys spending time with his wife and two teenage daughters. He keeps active with running, enjoys a round of golf when he can and likes to reminisce about the 90’s!

Keith’s goal is simple, to keep developing his skills, continue growing the practice, and in five years’ time still be here… just even better.
