John has been part of the team at Coatbridge Family Dental Care for over 15 years, providing comprehensive dental care with a particular focus on restorative dentistry.

He holds an MSc in Restorative Dentistry and has extensive experience in managing complex restorative cases, helping patients rebuild both function and confidence in their smiles.

John originally chose dentistry because he wanted to work in healthcare and, after achieving the grades he needed, worked hard to build the career he enjoys today. He finds real satisfaction in making a meaningful difference to patients’ wellbeing, whether that means relieving discomfort, restoring worn or damaged teeth or delivering carefully planned full mouth rehabilitation.

Alongside treating routine and preventative cases, John regularly manages more advanced restorative treatment. His approach is thoughtful and detail focused, using established techniques and modern technology to achieve predictable, long lasting results. Patients value his calm manner and the time he takes to understand their concerns before creating a clear, personalised treatment plan.

Over the years, John has also supported newly qualified dentists within the practice, sharing his knowledge and experience while continuing to develop his own skills through ongoing professional education.

What John values most about working at Coatbridge Family Dental Care is the close knit, patient centred team and the welcoming atmosphere they create together.

Outside of the practice, John enjoys keeping active at the gym and playing football, as well as spending time with his family and listening to music. One day, he hopes to visit New Zealand.
