Gillian has been part of the Coatbridge Family Dental Care team for six years and plays a central role in the smooth running of the practice as Practice Manager.

She oversees the day to day operations, supports the team and ensures that everything behind the scenes runs efficiently so the clinicians can focus fully on patient care.

Her interest in dentistry began at home. Growing up, Gillian saw the impact that poor dental experiences had on her dad, who lost several teeth at a young age. That personal experience sparked her interest in a career in dentistry and continues to motivate her today. Seeing her own dad go on to have life changing implant treatment at Coatbridge Family Dental Care has been a particularly proud and meaningful moment.

Although Gillian now works in a non-clinical role, she finds it incredibly rewarding to see the difference the team makes in patients’ lives. From reading wonderful reviews to seeing before and after results, she knows that the work she does in the background helps make those outcomes possible.

A typical day involves everything from compliance and regulations to spreadsheets, invoices and team support. She is often based in the office, but her door is always open. Gillian enjoys working closely with the team, offering guidance and making sure both staff and patients feel supported.

Outside of work, Gillian enjoys spending time with her family and relaxing with a good drama series. At the top of her bucket list is a holiday to the Maldives, staying in a bungalow over the water.
