Amy is one of our dental nurses at Coatbridge Family Dental Care and joined the team in 2024.

She became interested in dentistry while applying for university and college, and after enjoying her placement experience so much, knew it was the right path for her.

Amy works closely alongside Ainsley and is involved in a mix of NHS and private treatments, including facial aesthetics. She supports patients chairside, helps procedures run smoothly and takes pride in keeping the surgery clean and well organised so that everything is prepared for each appointment.

She particularly enjoys the organisational side of her role and making sure everything is in place for both patients and clinicians. Amy has recently taken on the added responsibility of helping to train our newest apprentice dental nurse, her first mentoring role, which she has really enjoyed as part of her own professional development.

Being part of a friendly, funny and caring team is something Amy values, and she enjoys working in an environment where patients are supported and put at ease.

Outside of work, Amy enjoys going out for food and spending time with friends and family. Travelling is high on her bucket list and she hopes to explore America, Australia and other parts of the world in the future. In five years, she sees herself continuing to grow in her career, whether that is here at the practice or perhaps living abroad.
