Jill Leathen

PATIENT CARE COORDINATOR & DENTAL NURSE

Jill is one of our Patient Care Coordinators at Coatbridge Family Dental Care and a qualified Dental Nurse.

She began her dental nursing training in 2013 after being encouraged to apply for a role by a family member, qualified in 2015 and has never looked back. She has now been part of the practice for over eight years.

Jill plays a key role in welcoming new patients to the practice and guiding them through their dental journey. She carries out initial consultations, including 3D scans which allow patients to see their teeth clearly on screen while discussing treatment options. She talks through timescales and payment options, then arranges consultations with the dentist best suited to each patient’s needs.

With her years of experience, Jill has a wealth of knowledge about modern techniques and technology and enjoys helping patients understand how we can improve their smiles in a safe and predictable way. She particularly loves the final review appointments, when patients share how much their new smile has improved their confidence and allowed them to smile freely again.

Jill also enjoys assisting with implant treatments whenever she can, working chairside and helping patients feel relaxed and supported throughout.

She describes Coatbridge Family Dental Care as forward thinking, reliable and nonstop, and encourages anyone who may feel unsure about improving their smile to simply get in touch and come along for a consultation.

Outside of work, Jill is a busy mum to her two daughters. She enjoys keeping fit at the gym and spending time outdoors, making the most of family life and being out in nature.
